Speak Up Stars 2026: a free speech and storytelling contest for kids
Your child records a short speech or story at home, and our experts watch every entry. Every child gets a certificate, and the best speakers in each category win free classes. Open to children from UKG to Grade 8, anywhere in India. Entries close Sunday, 29 November 2026.
How it works
- Register free with the form below. It takes one minute.
- Pick a topic from your child's category, or choose their own.
- Record a video at home on a phone: one take, face clearly visible, no editing or background music.
- Send the video as a Google Drive or unlisted YouTube link in the form, or on WhatsApp after you register.

How entries are judged
Our experts score every video out of 100, with the same four things for every child:
- Confidence (25): a steady voice, eye contact with the camera, standing tall.
- Clarity (25): clear words at a good speed.
- Content (25): a good start, a middle and an ending.
- Expression (25): feeling, gestures and a voice that goes up and down.
Children are only compared with others in their own category. The judges' decision is final.
Register your child
Rules
- One entry per child. The child must speak on their own, without reading from a paper or screen.
- Speeches can be in English. A parent may help prepare, but not speak in the video.
- Videos over the time limit are watched only up to the limit.
- The video link must open for anyone with the link until results are out.
- We only post a child's video publicly if a parent ticks the sharing box.
Questions parents ask
Is it really free?
Yes. There is no entry fee and no payment details are needed.
My child is shy. Should they still enter?
Yes. Recording at home is much easier than a stage, and many shy children surprise their parents. Every child gets a certificate and kind, specific feedback.
Can my child practise with a trainer first?
